Welcome to the Brilliant Butterflies Class – Year 1
Learning gives you the wings to fly like a brilliant butterfly!
In the Brilliant Butterfly class the children will be taught by the class Teacher Miss Morris with support from the marvellous Teaching Assistant Miss Siddall. Bertie the Butterfly (class mascot) likes to see the Brilliant Butterflies doing well and achieving their best so he will reward any children that tries really hard, who reads at home more than 3 times a week and the children that complete their homework. PE will be on a Wednesday and Thursday for the Brilliant Butterflies. Please leave your PE kit bags in school. Library morning will be every Friday.
We will be working hard towards achieving learning objectives from the National Curriculum in a fun and engaging practical way. We will be building on the play based learning we have experienced in Reception with lots of fun, motivating outdoor learning. We have more Forest School experiences as well as lots of visits and visitors to support our learning. To help our Butterflies develop their knowledge, we will have weekly homework, including spellings.
We hope you like our new website: please keep on looking to see updates, especially at the start of every new term, when we will inform you of our new topic and upcoming events.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
