Welcome back to Nursery.
Children are settling well into their new routines. We have been happy to see our older children making new friendships and particularly proud of them for helping and showing care for our New Starters.
We've been exploring textures, measuring and solving problems using our new play dough mixing station.
We continue to bake every Friday and ask that £1.50 is contributed for each child, each term to support the cost of providing this enhancement.
We have been collecting and threading Autumn leaves, developing our fine motor skills and talking about changes we can see in the world around us.
Children have enjoyed staying for their dinner everyday. Can you tell someone when you are hungry, thirsty or tired? Which foods should we eat 'a little' or 'a lot' of for a balanced diet?
Please be assured that any food your child has not eaten will be sent back in their lunch bag so that you can monitor what they have eaten at home. If you are unsure what to pack please feel free to take an advice leaflet from the Nursery reception area.
We have been jumping up and down in the muddy puddles (just like Peppa Pig), exploring floating and sinking and finding new ways to do things. We made our own waves using the sweeping brushes.
Please remember to check the weather and dress your child appropriately for Nursery. If they have their own wellies at home you can bring them in and keep them stored in the basket under your child's peg (please write names in them). If your child has borrowed spare clothes from Nursery we politely ask that theses
Can you find something that is red, yellow or blue? We have been exploring changes when we mix colours.
Please share with us any special occasions your family or child has celebrated in their home community and any achievements your child has demonstrated at home.
Our Nursery Library will be accessible everyday for your child to borrow and return a range of books to help develop their love of books and stories.
