Autumn 2 Newsletter

This term we started off by celebrating Halloween and then Bonfire Night. Children shared their home and community experiences with each other and staff.

Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our play and stay sessions, this was a lovely opportunity for us to share each child's learning and progress and for you to see what they get up to at Nursery.

This week we have been learning about 'Helping Hands', being kind and helping others (linked to National Anti-bullying week). Mrs Birchmore talked to the children about the Samaritan's Purse shoe box appeal. We helped her to pack a box ready for Christmas. Please see our display if you would like further information on how you can contribute to this charitable organisation.

Our Children love our Ten Town number sessions

We are very excited about our upcoming Christmas performance 'Robin's so Excited'. The children have been learning the words to our new songs with enthusiasm and gusto. Friday 1st December will be our Nursery decoration day, we will start the session by having our 'Big Sing', which will be a useful opportunity for you to learn the words to our songs and support your child with them. The rest of the session will have a Christmas focus with lots of activities for you and your child to make and do.

We would like to remind parents and carers that children who have had sickness or diarrhoea should under no circumstance return to Nursery before 48 hours from their last episode has passed. This is for the welfare of all our nursery children. Please ensure that you have informed the school office of any absence or illness.
