bb1 busybearBusy Bears’ Specialist Nursery provides excellent professional support, education and care to children from two to five years old who have a wide range of disabilities, conditions and syndromes, such as Cerebral Palsy, Fragile X, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Visual and Hearing Impairments, Physical delays and Speech and Language disorders and delays. All children are respected and their individuality and potential recognised, valued and nurtured.

bb2The nursery has recently been refurbished to a high standard. It has excellent access, new sensory, technological and play provision, which alongside highly trained and motivated staff (including health care from a paediatric nurse) gives our children the excellent, early intervention that they deserve and require in a secure, safe and stimulating environment.

bb3Our nursery provides a reliable, stable base in which other professional agencies such as Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Occupational Therapists know they can readily access our children to observe and work with them.

Our primary goal is to provide excellent child-centred, enjoyable, indoor and outdoor education and care that provides quality in what we do by catering for each child’s specific needs through personalised learning and Individual Education Plans.

Alongside these, The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum will provide broader and more varied learning that should enable children to leave nursery with the confidence, independence and skills that they need to help them in their schooling years, whether this be in Special School or Mainstream School. We achieve this because…

…’ the effectiveness of the Early Years Foundation Stage is outstanding’… where the children…’make good progress’…due to the…’Focused support, and excellent assessment and outstanding leadership and management.’
