Busy Bees Newsletter Spring 3 2017

Nursery Newsletter Spring 3 2017

Happy New Year! We hope that you all enjoyed the Christmas break and that Santa was kind to you.

This term we welcome our new apprentice Miss Riley to our Nursery Team, she will be working in Busy Bees for the rest of this academic year.

Bev and Tracy have started a new role within school, supporting attendance matters, breakfast club and after school club session. We will miss them as our snack ladies but will see them every day as they will continue to support our nursery children through the lunchtime/ ‘dinner day’ sessions.

We also look forward to welcome some new children that will be starting nursery this term and wish them a happy time with us.

This term our learning theme is: Superheroes Near Us!

We are hoping to make our learning themes reflect our children’s interests and have planned enhancements such as visits to areas in our local community, we hope you will support your child by attending these events where possible.

Next week we have planned a visit to Chesterfield library for Parents to attend with their children.

On Wednesday February 1st Nursery children and their parents and carers will have opportunity to have a school dinner with their child, confirmation of this will need to be with the Nursery team by 9TH January (so the food order can be placed by the Kitchen staff).

To stimulate discussion we will be choosing a different child each week to take home a ‘Talking Teddy’ for a ‘weekend sleepover’. Please speak to your child’s Key Worker if you have any further enquiries about this.

We would like to politely remind parents to pay £1.50 each term towards baking and snack as this is essential in enabling us to continue doing this.

Parent consultation sessions will be held on the 8th and 9th of February (due to the success of our previous ‘stay and play’ approach, arrangements for this to follow).

As always, please do hesitate to speak to a member of the nursery team if you have any queries or concerns.

We will break-up for half term on Thursday 9th February and return on Monday 20th February.
